A prescription for a better day: Breathe • Let go • Relax • Be kind to yourself • Give yourself a hug

Curiosity Rocks™

What if you don't already know the answer?
A place to pause, become curious, wonder, open the mind, and allow a new answer to reveal itself.

Welcome to Curiosity Rocks!

Curiosity Rocks is an invitation to discover what becomes possible when we stop trying to force an answer and become willing to say, “I don't know.”

What else might be true?

A question can interrupt an old prediction. Curiosity creates space. Wonder opens possibility. An open mind becomes available to receive something it could not see before.

A Path to Realization

Sometimes the first discovery is simply realizing that we do not yet know what we need to know. That is not failure. It is an opening.

1

Recognize

Recognize what is happening right now. You may not yet know what the real problem is or what the answer will be. Not knowing can be part of discovery.

2

Realize

Much of what we automatically think, feel, and do has been learned. Awareness allows us to see an old pattern without automatically becoming the pattern.

3

Relax

Pause. Breathe. Allow the body to soften. Sit in this moment without demanding an immediate answer.

4

Release

Loosen the grip on grievances, expectations, old stories, and control. Releasing them frees the attention you need for what is happening now.

5

Resolution

Allow a new response to emerge. Change is not something that must always be forced. Sometimes it begins by seeing something differently and choosing again.

Breathtaking

By Linda Hamilton

Peace breathing exercise

A Simple Practice

Visualize a feather with the word “peace” on it.

As you breathe in, imagine the feather gently floating into your awareness and settling softly in the mind.

Breathe out. Let the body relax.

Repeat this slowly about ten times, noticing what happens in your body.

There is nowhere else you need to be for this moment.

Your Present Moment Goal

Instead of asking, “How do I fix my whole life?” try asking:

What do I want to experience right now?

Your Present Moment Goal — your PMG — might simply be:

“My present moment goal is to be at ease.”

Can you experience even a little ease now?

Breathe. Relax. Let go. Notice.

Dump the Cup

Take a moment and notice the thoughts, worries, judgments, grievances, and old stories that repeatedly fill your attention.

Imagine putting each one into a cup.

Do I want to keep drinking from this cup?

If the answer is no, imagine dumping it out.

Notice the space that remains.

Now allow that space to fill with curiosity.

What now?
What next?
What else might be true?

You don't have to rush to answer. Stay with curiosity. Enter wonder. Allow the mind to become open enough to receive something new.

You Don't Have to Know Yet

The answer from the past is not necessarily the answer required by this moment.

Pause long enough for something new to become possible.

Question → Don't Know → Curiosity → Wonder → Opening → Receiving → Epiphany → Realization → Actualization
